BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (Regulated Course - OFQUAL LEVEL 2)   
3 HOUR TRAINING COURSE. 
£45 - Includes First Aid Manual.

​The Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency situation providing the casualty with critical life saving assistance until support arrives. The qualification is delivered following the protocols set by the Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines.
 
A range of subjects are covered including:
  • Actions in an emergency
  • Primary Survey & Secondary Assessment
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • ​Recovery position
  • Disorders of Respiration (choking)  
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (Unregulated)   3 HOUR TRAINING COURSE
£35 - Includes First Aid Manual.

This 3-hour Basic Life Support awareness course is suitable for anyone looking to gain basic first aid knowledge and skills. It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional Development (CPD).

A range of subjects is covered including:

  • Arriving at the scene
  • Primary Survey & Secondary Assessment
  • Resuscitation 

The aim of the course is to enable all students to deal with an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally, and how to deal with an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally.  It is very similar to ​BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (LEVEL 2)  but learners will not be issued with a level 2 certificate.
